Central PA SSUG


CPSSUG is the official PASS Chapter for the Central Pennsylvania geographic area. The meetings provide an excellent opportunity to enhance your SQL Server knowledge and network with fellow professionals. The meetings are free and focus on SQL Server administration, development, and business intelligence topics. Please register on the PASS website and set our chapter as your local chapter to be added to the group email list.
Meetings are held on the second Tuesday of alternating months, from 6:00 - 8:00 pm. The meeting location is one of the two following locations depending upon availibility (location will be finalized on website and newsletter):

SQL Server Benchmarking

Speaker: Lucas Loeffler, SQL Server DBA

Summary: Benchmarking new SQL Servers is an important step in understanding the performance capability of a particular system’s configuration. We’ll review why benchmarking is necessary and look at some of the generally available tools and some methods I use in benchmarking new systems.

About Lucas : I’ve been working with SQL Server for the past 10 years and in IT in one capacity or another for 15 years. I’ve worked in a variety of roles for the military, state government, private industry and am currently working in the Finance industry.

SSIS Logging

Summary: Eric will be covering the different logging mechanisms in SSIS and running a demo of a custom SSIS execution and logging solution.
